グイド・クレパックス (Guido Crepax, 1933-2003) はイタリアの漫画家で、20世紀後半のヨーロッパ成年漫画界に深い影響を残したアーティスト。

1965年に産み出した60年代の精神を代表するキャラクター、バレンティーナ (Valentina) で最も知られており、バレンティーナシリーズはクレパックスの洗練された描画と、強烈なエロティシズムを含む、サイケデリックで夢のようなストーリーのために有名。

また、本書のようなポーリーヌ・レアージュの『O嬢の物語』、マルキ・ド・サドの『美徳の不幸』、エマニュエル・アルサンの『エマニュエル』 (映画『エマニエル夫人』原作) のようなエロティックな古典文学のコミック化にも挑戦。

Guido Crepas (15 July 1933 in Milan – 31 July 2003 in Milan),better known by his nom de plume Guido Crepax, was an Italian comics artist. He is most famous for his character Valentina, created in 1965 and very representative of the spirit of the 1960s. The Valentina series of books and strips became noted for Crepax’s sophisticated drawing, and for the psychedelic, dreamlike storylines, generally involving a strong dose of erotism.
