説明
釘抜は昔のくぎ抜きの台座を紋章にしたもの。釘を抜くは「九城を抜く」という意味で武士たちが縁起紋として用いた。堀氏、菅沼氏、一柳氏、加藤清正達が用いたとされていた。
銃口は貫通しておらず、火皿もくぼみがあるだけ、実銃の機能は全くない。所持許可を要らないただの観賞用品としてお楽しみください。

One of matchlock’s NETSUKE, the rhombus carved in sterling silver is the symbol of Kato Kiyomasa (the most famous general in Japan), which is an old collection of his family. I don’t know how to translate its name, in Japan matchlock is called “Masai Chateau d’If”. The NETSUKE in the shape of matchlock is extremely rare, and the attached picture is in the collection of the Japan NETSUKE Association (old collection of Ieyasu Tokugawa).
