18世纪末友忠牙雕根付瓦当（京巴花）

描述

瓦当俗称瓦头，是屋檐最前面的圆形瓦，位于筒瓦之前，是建筑用瓦的重要构件，主要用于保护木制飞檐，便于屋顶排水防水、美化屋面轮廊，保护檐头。

瓦当图案设计优美，光素无纹，完美展现其精巧雅致之美。两汉时期流行卷云纹和吉祥文字，西汉末年出现文字瓦当。瓦当发明当初为半圆形，称半规瓦。秦代由半圆发展为全圆形，汉代以后则统一使用圆瓦当。

友忠作为二战后新拍卖时代第一个被炒作的根付宗师，恶果导致友忠铭的根付层出不穷，泛滥至今，几乎成为骂人专用。本作无法100%确定是友忠真品，但可以肯定最低限度是同时代同级别雕刻师的杰作。瓦当题材的根付极为罕见，巴花瓦此为首见。雕刻和抛光颇见功底，拙匠没这个本事，名家绝不会刻别人名字，大概率是友忠或其门徒作品。

根附研究P148记：友忠（ともただ）号和泉屋七右卫门，天明（1781年）以前在世，居住京都。以木刻牙雕牛最妙，时人美其名曰友忠牛。其时伪造即已泛滥，然真作雕工细密，真伪一目了然（雕铭友忠）。

装剑奇赏卷七记：友忠，京師人，号和泉屋七有卫门。以雕牛造诣著称，精巧绝伦，关东尤其赏玩者众，以故伪造甚多。真品百中见一，持者无不宝之。
